Built in 1930, and opened in 1931, Mann's Village Theatre has been a popular location to see movies for several generations of moviegoers. Across the street from Mann's Bruin Theatre, the Village was a part of the old Fox Theatres circuit and played the best of the Fox Studio's films. The Fox name still lights up the top of the theatre today.
The theatre's grand architecture, large auditorium and state-of-the-art presentation make it one of the most popular movie theatres in Los Angeles. The theatre is a favorite of movie studios, which frequently select the theatre to premiere their top films. In the year 2000, the Village Theatre celebrated its 70th Anniversary.
