The last action pic of the summer, "S.W.A.T.," based on the 1970's TV series, premiered at Mann's Village Theatre to a very enthusiastic crowd. "If you're making a sequel," said Sony's Amy Pascal, "make sure it stands on its own." And this one does!

Seen at the after party were stars Colin Farrell, Samuel L, Jackson, Josh Charles and LL Cool J, director Clark Johnson, Robert Towne, Vivica A. Fox and Shannen Doherty.
