Two Weeks Notice
2002
Bruin Theatre, Westwood
Sandra Bullock portrays a brilliant attorney who is slightly
neurotic and in love with one of her clients, Hugh Grant,
who is charming, irresponsible and fabulously wealthy. This
romantic comedy explores the reasons why she can't just tell
him! (A brand new plot!) A wonderfully funny, romantic, talky
film for the holidays. Directed by Marc Lawrence.

Stars Alicia Witt, Hugh Grant
and Sandra Bullock get together before the L.A. bow
of the pic, "Two Weeks Notice," at the Mann's
Bruin Theatre. Helmer Marc Lawrence said that the pic
was the first to shoot in New York after 9/11 because
"we thought the best way to stand up to terrorists
was to make a really funny, romantic, talky comedy,
because they hate that. ...I read somewhere that whenever
the Army invades some terrorist hideout, they always
have some American films like 'Terminator' or 'Rambo.'
It's never 'When Harry Met Sally' or 'All About Eve,'
so we stood by our guns and made this movie."
