Elle, a beautiful (and bright) blonde (Reese Witherspoon), who has been dumped by her boyfriend, decides to attend law school so she can meet a better class of men. She earns a law degree and becomes a success. One person described it as "Clueless" meets "Erin Brockovich."

On hand for the after-party at the Hammer Museum were 10 winners of "Cosmo's Blonde Contest" who won scholarships to further their education, Raquel Welch, director Robert Luketic, Reese's main guy Ryan Phillippe, Sydney Pollack, Holland Taylor, Victor Garber and co-stars Selma Blair and Luke Wilson.

The 10 winners of Cosmo's Blonde Contest, who received scholarships based on a 300-word essay about "Why blondes are as brilliant as brunettes" - were pretty in pink at the premier.
